Comfort should always be your first priority. As there are more important things to be thinking about during your first date, the last thing you want to do is be fidgeting with your outfit. Choose a colour or outfit that you’re often complimented on. Try to do a little research on the place you are going for a date and dress appropriately.

Let location be your guide. Having casual plans like a movie? A cozy cardigan, silk tee, your favourite skinny jeans, and a cute pair of ankle boots will make you look relaxed and put-together at the same time. If you are going out for a drink, pair a silky blouse with a mini skirt, you can also personality with accessories, remember being natural and minimal is always best for the first date. If your first date is going to be a dinner date, it’s crucial not to wear anything that you can’t walk in, eat in or even breathe in. So for a dressy dinner date, a shift dress or skinny jeans, pair with a silk camisole, blazer, and heels can create a gorgeous look. And for a casual dinner, boyfriend jeans and a cute blouse or tee are always a great bet.

Another important part of dressing up is smell pleasant, so it’s a good idea to wear perfume. Just go with something sweet, refreshing and long lasting. Not over the top to a point where you’re practically suffocating the other person though.
