Being told you look like your mother isn’t always good news! If you’re lucky, it means your mother looks amazingly young. If not, it means you’re aging a bit fast than normal! Fortunately, we’ve got some tips to help keeping your skin looking young and vital!

1. Wrinkles

Wrinkles are by far the most noticeable sign of aging. As you grow older, the collagen and water in the skin diminish, and as the subcutaneous fat shrinks, skin becomes loose and old. Without its youthful elasticity, skin’s indentations turn into wrinkles and fine lines.

Preventing wrinkles:

Begin by washing your face. Next, pour some facial cleanser in your hand and add a little water, then rub your hands together in the same direction in order to have more foam.  The more foam, the better cleansing power! Apply the foam to your face, circling from the outside in for about 30 seconds to exfoliate dead skin cells. Give special focus to gently massaging the T-area where sebum is concentrated, especially the areas beside the tip of the nose. Cleanse your face with warm water to open up your pores and preserve your skin’s naturally moisturising oils. Finally, apply firming essence to increase the skin’s hyaluronic acid and moisturise its surface. This will help enhance your skin’s firmness, gentleness and saturation while removing fine lines and other signs of aging.

2. Freckles

It never rains but it pours – where one freckle appears, many more are sure to follow! Freckles usually appear on your cheeks, nose, and eyelids – the places on your face that get the most exposure to sunlight. Why do they appear? They can be caused by a number of internal factors (like your genes, hormone disorders or a slow metabolism) or external factors (like exposure to UV rays, pressure, or dietary habits).

Minimising freckles:

The best way to control your freckles is to control the external factors that cause them. Always protect your skin from the sun’s rays, and be sure to apply sunscreen whenever you will be outdoors. Use whitening creams with vitamin C, tannic acid, AHA and ellagic acid which also help a lot.

3. Dark circles

When you are young, you don’t care about the dark circles and played overnight. Those dark circles might be temporary. But as you age, the melanin around your eyes accumulates as your metabolism slows down, making dark circles a lingering problem. These circles can also be caused by your blood vessels or bone structure. In fact, for most people, it’s a mixture of multiple causes.

Preventing dark circles:

Getting enough sleep is rule number one. It’s also important to take good care of the skin around the eyes and keep it well-moisturised. In addition, when removing makeup, make sure to completely remove all mascara and eyeliners to avoid leaving any residual pigments behind.

To defy the effects of aging, it’s also important to maintain a healthy lifestyle and get more exercise, which will boost your metabolism and circulation. But the most important part of feeling young is being confident, self-reliant, and positive. Feeling grey? Say No Way!
