When the humidity in air drops, not only does your skin become dry, but it also happens to your scalp. One of the obvious signs that you are suffering from the dry scalp is you started to feel itchy, and dandruff may appear too. You may find that is very annoying since it will affect your appearance and your personal image. We are here to solve this problem together with you. Let’s check out some easy remedies to treat your scalp!

1. Oil up your scalp

Treat your scalp like how you treat your dry skin. When your scalp is itchy, it indicated that your scalp is lack of oil. So, you can utilize antibacterial and anti-inflammatory oil to moisturize your scalp. Coconut oil or tea tree oil would be good options. You can simply apply a small amount of coconut oil or tea tree oil on your scalp then massage it so that your scalp can absorb the moisture and nutrition. Then, you can leave it for 10 minutes and rinse it.

2. Wash your hair with warm water

A hot shower is an undeniable good after a long day. Yet, it doesn’t seem very nice to your scalp when it is dry and itchy already. Since hot water would cause further damage your scalp, the worst thing is it would affect your hair growth in a negative way. When you wash your hair, switch your water temperate to a warm or cold one, you would definitely see the difference!

3. Scrub your scalp

Bear in mind that scalp is your skin too. It is covered by your hair but it doesn’t mean you don’t have to treat it with care! If you would scrub your skin to remove the dead cell, do it to your scalp too. However, the scalp is more sensitive and thinner, you are suggested to use a nourishing mask to exfoliate your scalp twice a month to keep your scalp moisturized!

4. Fuel up healthy fats

What would you do when you want to keep your skin hydrated? Drink a lot of water. So, it goes the same as moisturizing your scalp. Fuelling up with healthy fats, such as avocado, salmon, and nuts, it can be absorbed by your body and skin directly. Healthy fats can moisturize your skin and protect your skin at the same time.
