Again, BASF Colors & Effect has teamed up with the world’s leading colour expert Pantone for the launch of spring/summer makeup colour trends 2019. If you want to be one step ahead of the trends, then look no further. We are now going to talk you through the biggest makeup colour trends for you to stay on top of the beauty game.

Spring

As spring begins to bloom, be ready to coat your eyelids, lips and tips with subtle yet flattering hues, think romantic lilac, peach coral and natural nudes.

Makeup ideas

  1. “No Makeup” Makeup : Sheer, minimal makeup done in neutral and nude shades to let your beauty shine through. Go for a foundation with sheer coverage or even just a tinted moisturiser will do.

  2. Pastel Eyeliner : Pastel eyeliners are in fact all over the spring/summer runways. A bit nervous to try? Start with a hint of poetic lilac to dress up your eyes this spring for an innocent look.

  3. Peachy Nude Lips : If you are not blessed with naturally pigmented lips, fake it with a rosy-peachy lipstick. Be sure to choose one with a creamy formula that glides on like a lip balm and leaves a hydrated sheen.

Summer

Summer is a great time to experiment with bold and bright hues, ranging from aqua blue, peacock green, golden sand to lush floral tones of red, pink and mauve.

Makeup ideas

  1. Peacock Blue Smokey Eyes : Make up ideas for a summer party? Glam up your eyes by lining your eyes with an electric blue eyeliner. Then, smear a shimming peacock blue eyeshadow across eyelids.

  2. Mauve nails : You can never go wrong with deep purple nails. Pair this shade with a max dress and you are good to go.
