Trying to figure out what all the different makeup brushes are for?  How to use them the right way? Let us help you with that. Keep reading to learn what different brushes are for and how to use each one of them correctly!

#1 Foundation brush

Using a foundation brush to apply liquid or cream foundation gives you a seamless, even complexion. Simply dip the brush into the product, then apply it to the centre of your face before blending up and outwards in smooth, even strokes to prevent harsh makeup lines around the edges of your jawline and hairline.

#2 Blush brush

A blush brush with long, fluffy bristles and a dome shape allows you to blend and build your powder pigments. Just sweep across your blusher of choice, then tap off any excess. Look into the mirror and smile. Lightly swirl the product on the apples of your cheeks and blend it up into your cheekbones.

#3 Eyeshadow brush

A medium-sized, not-too-fluffy eyeshadow brush has a slight fan that works great for applying shadow to the lid and blending it out. After rubbing the brush over your eyeshadow, sweep the eyeshadow brush back and forth over your lids, then gently swirl the brush around the edges to blend them out.

#4 Lip brush

Struggling to apply lipstick straight from the bullet? You should invest in the right kind of tool to apply lipstick evenly on the lips – a lip brush. How to use a lip brush? First, dip right into a lip pot or tube of lipstick. Next, start from the centre of your lips and blend the product out towards your lip line. Finish off by using the tip to define the lip lines at the bows and corners.

#5 Powder brush

A round-shaped powder brush with long, fluffy, and soft bristles is made for distributing loose powder evenly across your face. Just use the fluffy bristles to pick up a fine layer of loose powder. Tap off the excess before using sweeping motions to brush across your face, as too much product can make your makeup look cakey.
