If you are a city dweller, you won’t be unfamiliar with these pollutants: traffic fumes, cigarette smoke, blue light from our phones, UV rays, etc. But are you aware of what damages could pollutions do to your skin? Various studies have shown that women living in urban areas had more dark spots and wrinkling, as well as worse skin hydration than those living in rural environments.
In Watsons Beauty Box 4, the April edition, it is featuring Urban Shield by Pure Beauty. The range is specifically formulated to combat adverse effects caused by pollution and blue lights. Skincare Routine with Pure Beauty

Makeup Removal Facial Wipes, 2-in-1 Purifying Cleanser / Clarifying Cleansing Mousse, Clarifying Toner, Reviving Eye Gel, Renewal Night Cream
To keep my face refreshed, moisturized and most importantly protected all day, I have added the Reviving Serum and Radiant Day Lotion SPF 20 in the morning routine.
As for the night, thorough cleansing is as important as deep nourishing, so here comes my double cleansing routine with the Facial Wipes and Clarifying Cleansing Mousse, or 2-in-1 Purifying Cleanser (not included in the box this time, but definitely worth a try) if I have heavy makeup during the day. As you can see, the range is pretty all-rounded, providing care you need from deep cleansing to nourishing.

1. Pure Beauty Anti-Oxidant Clarifying Toner
Use the toner as a basic skincare for every morning and evening to sweep away traces of dirt and pollution. 92%* of users agree that their skins feel softer after using the toner. Let’s see if it’s really that amazing!
As seen in the video, I have pumped a generous amount of toner on the back of my hand. It has a light fruity smell that’s quite refreshing. The consistency is slightly sticky but on the watery side and glides onto the skin nicely. And it is absorbed into the skin easily , with my skin feeling clearer and suppler after use.

2. Pure Beauty Anti-Oxidant Reviving Serum
This lightweight serum is enriched with nutrients that penetrates deep into the skin, boosting the skin’s natural defenses, assisting damage repair, and evening the skin tone.
The serum appears to be translucent with light pink in color and has a gel-like texture. After applying the serum on my hand for a minute, I spread some foam beans atop to check how well the serum is absorbed. The result is satisfying!

3. Pure Beauty Anti-Oxidant Renewal Night Cream
The night cream helps to enhance the skin’s elasticity and restore its natural barrier while you sleep.
The color is opaque, with a creamy but not heavy feeling. It melts into my skin quickly, leaving it a subtle dewy finish. I tested it on my hand, as shown below, and the moisturizer level of my skin got a boost (from 38% to 48%)! And when I applied it on my face later in the evening, I could almost feel that the active ingredients working throughout the night.

My skin has turned clearer and more translucent after using the products for a week.
